Naturopathic Medicine

The solution to your health goals.

Lifestyle becomes Healthcare.

Naturopathic Medicine takes the best of the world of medicine you are already familiar with and adds to it the capability of treating the body using natural means. While educated in pharmaceutical drugs, I am also extensively trained in nutrition, botanicals, hydrotherapy, acupuncture, homeopathy, and Biotherapeutic Drainage providing you many directions that you can approach your health journey with.
Because there are so many different ways to achieve your goals, this allows you to personalize your healthcare and create a method that works for you and your schedule.
Ultimately, the goal is to create the optimal cycle of your healthcare becoming your lifestyle.
Your lifestyle will create health and your health will in turn preserve your lifestyle.

The Six Principles of Naturopathic Medicine

First do no harm.
Use the least invasive, non-toxic, and natural treatments first.

The healing power of nature.
Trust the inherent healing capability of the body.

Identify and treat the cause.
Remove the obstacles to cure and not just suppress symptoms.

Treat the whole person.
All areas of life affect health. Consider all body systems and spirit, soul, and body.

Prevention.
Prevention of formation and progression of disease.

Doctor as teacher.
Educate individuals of how the body works and how lifestyle choices are affecting their health.

Naturopathic Doctor Qualifications

Licensed Naturopathic Doctors receive a 4 year doctorate degree from one of 7 accredited schools in the United States and Canada. The doctor then must pass a national exam, submit results to their local state Naturopathic Board, and become licensed in one or multiple states. Even if the state you live in does not currently license Naturopathic Doctors, it is good practice for a Naturopathic Doctor in your state to have a license in a state that does license NDs.
